She was the loving mother of Merrilyn (Ben) Hudgens and Susan (Stephen) Teel, the loving grandmother of 2 grandsons and their wives, the loving great-grandmother of 3 boys and 1 girl.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Willis.
Dorothy was very proud of her family and the fact that she was one of the first “Rosie the Riveters”. She worked at Consolidated Aircraft, where she met her husband Willis, during the war.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10-11am Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, with a graveside service to follow at 11:30. A celebration of her life will be the same day, 2pm Thursday, July 7, at Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church, 5839 Dewey Drive, Citrus Heights, CA 95621.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church.
