Emily loved her family with every fiber of her being from the moment she entered this world tim her tragic accident. She was always giving hugs and kisses to all of us. Everyday I came home from a long day at work I could count on some lovin' from the "princess". I called her the "princess" because what Emily wanted Emily got.
I can remember the day she was born, she was born with a full head of hair and a pretty good grip. She held my fingers tightly as if the say, "your not going anywhere until I let go."And that she did....she held onto each and everyone of us as if there were no tomorrow.
She loved being held and carried and just enjoyed being the center of attention. Her smile was so congatious and it could lightup any room in the house or wherever she was. She also had a heart of gold that she so generously shared thru her hugs and kisses.
She had an appetite for life as well as for food and snacks. She loved to eat bananas, blueberries, the little baby pasta; she loved milk, juice, soda and just about whatever she could get of ours or from her brothers and sisters.
It was funny because we would share our snacks, but Emily at first wouldn't share back, she would run with whatever she had in her hands. But soon later she learned to share and at times would demand we try whatever she was offering. She would hold it to our faces til we tried it.
Emily loved playing dolls and house with her sisters and brothers and would follow them wherever they went thru the house. Although, they didn't like it when she would stand in front of the TV while a movie was going, or pressing the stop button on the DVD player while a movie was going, they enjoyed her playing and just being there.
They came to expect her being there where ever they went in the house. She loved to watch them play the Wii game and do "Just Dance 3" because she loved the dancing part.
Emily also was a shopping baby, she loved to shop with her mommy and of course buying stuff like clothes and sunglasses, shoes, you name it. And when she got something she would flaunt it in front of everyone showing off what she had received. Emily was such a joy in everything she did.
Everyday we would all tell her, "I....love....." and whomever it was, for instance, Mommy, would say at the end....mommy to get her to say it and she would say it too with a smile. Sometimes she would tease us and say Creta her auntie, or just someone else. She loved teasing her mommy the most, but we all know that she loved her mommy so so much. And her brother Ashton was her buddy, after the other kids would go to school and they got home they would be in Ashton's room or Hailey's room paying and having a good time. She would call him Ashun in her sweet little voice.
Emily also was a dancer; she would dance to commercials, TV show music themes, you name it. She would put her arms out to her sides and lean left to right and bobb her head up and down. It was such a crack up to see.
She made us laugh everyday. If her brothers and sisters were arguing, she would say, "No!" and it would stop. She was such a peacemaker also.
And now our family has more peace in our home than ever before just like she wanted it to be.
God had a plan and a purpose for Emily and it only took 14 mnths to complete her task. We are ever so grateful to God for bringing Emily Elizabeth into our lives for this short time she was here.
Emily is survived by her parents Michael & Theresa Washington, also by her brothers and sisters Hailey, Mikey, Holly, Kayla and Ashton. Also by her grandparents Creta Adams, Robert and Doris Washington and lots and lots of aunties and cousins.
"Emily we miss you!" We cannot wait to be able to hold our darling little angel in our arms again someday.
