

Jean was born in South Dakota and came to California with her parents, Clarence and Alena Hayworth, and her older brother, Glenn, in 1937. She attended Sacramento and San Juan High Schools; and, graduated from Grant Union High School in 1949. She was married to Eugene E. Alquist for 25 years, they had four children.
She worked for Anderson and Mayer Insurance Adjusters, State Comp Insurance Fund, and co-founded, with her husband, Bob Denison, North Bay Associates, a workers comp claims auditing and consulting firm in Vallejo, Ca. After selling the firm, they moved to Tucson, Az. where they lived for 14 years. Upon their return to California they chose to live in Roseville, Ca. where they would be close to family.
Jean was very active in the Roseville, Ca. Elks Lodge #2248. She was honored by the Lodge membership as the “Elk of the Year” in 2011.
She is survived by her four children: Londa Reese (David) of Sacramento; Alan Alquist of Napa; Judy Smith (Fred) of Colorado Springs, Co; and Stephen Alquist, of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her brother, Glenn Hayworth (Minnie) of Elk Grove, and sister, Sue Adams (Mike) of Brookings, Or.
Grandchildren: Randy Abner (Mariniel), Karly Wiley (Howard), Jeffrey Smith (Katherine), Jason Smith, Lisa Marie Dameron (Stewart), Justin Alquist, and Michelle Alquist.
Great-Grandchildren: Kaleb, Jazmine and Mia Abner.
