June Mathews Zins

June was born in Los Angeles in 1927 and graduated from Burbank High School in 1945. She attended college and in 1951 met her husband George at her sister Jackie’s wedding. June and George married in October of that year and lived in Los Angeles where they started their family welcoming Victoria in 1953, George III in 1955 and Patricia in 1957. June and George relocated to Sacramento in 1959 due to a work transfer and settled into their new life welcoming Jennifer in 1968 and Melissa in 1969. With the sudden death of her husband in 1975, June bravely started rebuilding her life and family and devoted herself to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. June was a bookkeeper by trade and retired in 2004 after 45 years of working. A devoted friend to so many, June leaves behind a legacy of giving, kindness, loyalty, laughter, & love.
