Lauri Michelle Sabin

Lauri Michelle Sabin 7-17-1962 - 5-15-2024 Lauri was born in Sacramento Ca. To Warren and Nancy Sabin. She grew up in Citrus Heights. Some of her favorite childhood memories were riding bikes with her friends to Sunrise mall, and Teepeeing a teachers house. After high school Lauri received an Associates degree in accounting and worked most of her career for the state of California treasury. She married young and had two beautiful children. Motherhood was something she had always looked forward to and became one of the highlights of her life raising her kids and watching them grow up. As she got older and life slowed down she reconnected with many childhood friends, coworkers as well as finding the true love of her life, running! She became an avid runner at the young age of 49. Through running she found a new family a new life and purpose. She was always up for a run. Running brought her opportunities to travel and other friends to different locations. A few of her favorite runs were Ragnorok, CIM and the Salmon falls 50k just to name a few. Lauri is survived by her parents Warren and Nancy, her brother Doug, her son Ryan, her daughter Shannon and her grandson Jett. She really did have a good run and wanted to thank and express her gratitude and appreciation to all the nurses, doctors, caregivers, family and friends who helped her through the late stages of her life. A celebration of life will be held July 13th 2024 at C Bar C park from 12:00PM-3:00PM. Please wear something purple in honor of Lauri.
