It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle and friend, Nicholas (Nick) Alan Main on Thursday October 29th, 2015. His loving heart grew weak and could no longer beat on. His passing was quick and unexpected while at home with his family.
Born in Seoul, Korea on December 30, 1991, Nick came home to his forever family on February, 11 1993 at 13 months of age. He was one of the biggest joys in our lives and also to many others who knew him. We lost him too soon, but we are thankful for each and every day that God blessed us with him, and are proud to have been chosen to be his parents. Nick struggled daily with his disabilities but never complained or lost his love of life. Nick always put others before himself even when his needs were greater. He was blessed with lifelong friends who looked out for him when we were not there and we cannot thank you enough and we acknowledge your pain for his loss. He was the bravest, kindest human being we have ever known. He taught all of us life lessons like no one else, and was an old soul with thoughtful opinions on everything. Nick grew up in Roseville, CA and attended Quail Glen Elementary, Silverado Middle School and graduated from Woodcreek High School, Class of 2011.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gary Cooper Merrill and Max Main, who are with him now. Nicholas is survived by his parents, Brian and Wendy Main, older brother Matthew Main, sister in law Tali Torres, older sister Jennifer Hooper, brother in law Danny, younger sister Paige Main, nieces Sophiah and Daphney Main, Grandparents Mary Main, Dorothy and Dwayne Ziegler, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog, Bear.
Join us in celebrating Nick’s life on Saturday November, 14th, 2015 at 2PM at Mt Vernon Mortuary 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
