Memorial services will be held at Mt Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary 8201 Greenback Lane Citrus Heights Ca @ 2:00 P.M.

She was born June 15, 1936 in Newfoundland, Canada. She lived in Newfoundland throughout her childhood. After high school she worked at the base In St. Johns, Newfoundland near her home town where she met and married Benson Lee Grant in 1956 and soon after moved to North Carolina where Benson was stationed and then transferred to El Toro Marine base in Southern California to Santa Ana California where she raised 6 children. She moved to the Sacramento area and has lived there since her passing

She married the love of her life Chuck Tillman Knollmiller in 1984 and he passed away in 1985.

She was a very caring, courageous, loving and generous Mother and Grandmother who lived for her Family and Friends and was always there for anyone who needed her. She was an amazing cook and nobody could bake a better carrot cake.

She is survived by her children Yvonne Pickering of El Dorado Calif, Benson Martin of Orangevale, Calif, Ellen Ambroff of El Dorado, Calif, Carol Martin of El Dorado Hills Calif, Dan Martin of St Helens, Oregon and Les Martin of Orland, Calif; Sister Clarice Doody of Newfoundland Canada, Brothers Leonard and Lester Doody of Newfoundland Canada and 11 Grandchildren.

Besides her 3 husbands she is preceded in death by her Parents Thomas and Ellen Doody, and Brothers James, Leo, Dan, Joe and Alphonse.

The thought of not having our beautiful Mother, Grandmother and Friend in our life anymore is overwhelming. She will always be remembered for the impact she made on all of our lives and the faith she had in God that helped her through many of lifes challenges. This beautiful woman will be missed by everyone who knew her. We love you to the moon and back again Mom Grandma and Friend...
