

Robert Everett Johnson went home to be with the Lord April 17, 2013. He was surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on November 20, 1927 in Sacramento, California to Vivian Ferguson and Everett Johnson.
Long time Rancho Cordova resident, Robert leaves his loving wife Frances of 47 years. His four children, son Rodney Mace, daughters Peggy Webb (Michael), Karen Dodrill (Scot), Joan Jacino, most loved grandchildren Stephanie Shuman (Andy), Brian Webb, Amanda, Ryan Jacino, Sydni, Cameron Dodrill and his precious Great-Grandchildren Clara and Wyatt Shuman. Sister, Barbara Moorman, Forestville, CA and Brother Richard Johnson Yreka, CA.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II, stationed in Japan.
Robert worked for the Federal Government for 42 years. He was the Chief Calibration Team Leader, as well as the Chief of Standard Laboratories in Tooele, Utah. Robert was able to return to California to work at the Sacramento Army Depot. He retired from the Sacramento Army Depot as Chief of Calibration & Repair Center. This included the Primary Nuclear Lab, Electro-Physical Calibration & TMDE Branch.
Long time active Member of the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church. Robert served on sessions, money counter, usher, serving communion attending Bible classes and a member of the Three Masters Mariner Ship.
Member of the Harding San Juan Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Ben Ali Shrine.
For 23 years he volunteered his service at the Federal Retiree Assistance Center, McClellan AFB and was a member of the National Federal Retiree Employee Association and served as a Service Officer.
Robert loved traveling with his wife Frances and had visited 23 countries and most of the 50 States. He enjoyed Football, especially the Forty Niners. His greatest passion was reading and the Big Bands. He loved playing trumpet in a small band and admired Harry James. Robert loved to dance and always requested “Spanish Eyes”, his and Frances’s song. Frances was Robert’s “True Love” and they shared a wonderful Love Story.
There will be a Viewing at Mount Vernon Mortuary on May 9, 2013 from 5- 8pm. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church on Friday May 10th at 11:00 AM. Private Internment.
