Roberta was born on a farm in Missouri July 1, 1921 and died of cancer March 27, 2014. She graduated from Columbia State Teachers College and taught in a one room school. Married Leroy Wehmeyer in 1941 and drove to California on their honeymoon, settling in Carmichael in 1945. She spent a life time helping others as an active volunteer in Carmichael Presbyterian Church, girl scouts, PTA and American River Hospital. She was an artist, seamstress, gardener, and a gourmet cook with a loving circle of family and friends. In retirement she and her husband Leroy traveled extensively in their trailer across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Roberta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Michael Honnold, grandchildren Caron Treon and Brian Honnold and five great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
