He is preceded in death by his father, Ludwig (Louie) Carl Kraushar, and his mother-in-law, Veryl Joan Longmeir.
A lifelong Sacramento resident, Ronnie was born on October 26,1954. Together, he and his father ran a Farmers Insurance Agency for nearly 40 years in Sacramento.
Like his father, Ronnie shared a passion for flying; he was a pilot and a member of the Low Flying Angels in Sacramento. He also enjoyed golfing and frequenting antique car shows with his family.
Together, Ron and his wife, Carol enjoyed a large, combined family. They experienced a wonderful life together, with their children, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. Ronnie loved to entertain his friends and family in their home. ROCA’s House (a combination of Ron & Carol) was the house where all the family and friends gathered for special occasions, holidays, and epic BBQ’s. Ronnie proved chivalry was indeed not a thing of the past; he absolutely loved caring for other people and playing the host in the home he shared with his wife. He insisted on waiting on all of his guests, making each visitor feel welcomed and special. He was selfless and caring, and a true gentleman.
Always a romantic, he and his wife, Carol, also made time for themselves; they loved spending time with just each other, and enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations, or up and down the California coast on romantic getaways.
Ronnie was deeply respected and admired by all who knew him. He truly enjoyed life to the fullest. He was adored by his parents and sister, idolized by his sons, loved deeply by his wife, and admired by his friends. He will truly be missed by all who had the good fortune to spend time with him.
The family wishes to thank Kaiser Hospice for their tender care during Ronnie’s final days.
Gravesite burial will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, CA on Greenback Lane on Thursday, January 21, 2021 @ 2:00PM. Due to Covid-19, the ceremony will be limited to immediate family and close family friends.
