Scott Castle Jr.

Entered into peace May 23, 2012 and the age of 76. Born December 28, 1935 was a Sacramento resident for 40 years and is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Donna Castle and daughter in law Nadine Castle. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Tech Sergeant after 21 years of service. Later, he was the chief community operations manager at the Sacramento Army Depot. His home near the Foothill Farms area became a holiday wonderland each Christmas, with Santas and reindeer aglow outside and miniature town scenes, tinsel and plenty of homemade candy and fudge inside. Even after falling ill, Scotty with the help of his sons welcomed his family into his home early each Christmas morning for breakfast and to spread the holiday cheer.

Her is survived by sons, Mike Castle, Mark Castle, Darrell Castle, and Daren Castle; granddaughters Mandy Mydral. Katie Murphy, Amber Keane and step granddaughters Jose and Lisa Clayton and Ginny LaRoe; grandsons Nicholas and Dakota Castle; great grandsons Dylan and Ryan Mydral; daughter in laws Cindy Castle, Dawn Castle and Pam Castle; son in laws Eric Mydral and Jamie Keane aka “Sponge Bob” and Tim Murphy, Sisters Mary Rose Ward and Ruby Snowden, with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 4pm-7pm at the Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback lane Fair Oaks, Ca 95628 followed by a memorial service on Friday, June 1, 2012 10am at Mt. Vernon
