

Shirley was born October 1st 1944, in Paso Robles, California, a daughter of Burl and Leota Snider. She was surrounded by a large and close family with a total of 10 siblings; Frankie, Gene, Dorothy, Toni, John, Katie, Raymond, Steven and David. Shirley got married to Dean Rogers at age 17 and had her daughter Patricia Lynn at age 18. She then welcomed her son William Dean at age 28. For most of her adulthood, Shirley was a dedicated worker at the Blue Diamond Almond Growers for almost 25 years. At age 43, Shirley met her forever love, Donald Parker whom she called Babe. Her and Babe had a beautiful life together and were married for 30 years.
Shirley enjoyed spending time surrounded by family. She had special relationships with each of her siblings, children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She loved hosting family gatherings, whether it was the yearly thanksgiving dinner or the summertime swim parties. She was a lover of shopping, with her favorite stores being Nordstroms and Target. Shirley was a dedicated dog lover. Throughout her life she always had a dog by her side, with her most recent being Miss Sadie. She enjoyed walking Sadie from her house down to her daughter’s house to have a puppy play date on a daily basis topped with a little glass of red wine. Shirley was one you could always rely on to answer the phone, no matter the time. She was a night owl. Her nightly routine consisted of relaxing in her recliner snacking on some lays potato chips and whip cream with strawberries when she went off her diet and talking on the phone till the wee hours in the morning. She was on that phone 24-7, keeping the family close and communication open.
Shirley had a presence like no other. When she walked in the room all eyes naturally gravitated towards her. She was simply beautiful. She was always seen wearing black and gold, hoop earrings, Sunglasses and Gel Mac lipstick. Shirley was a strong women who offered her guidance and wisdom to those she loved. She was truly one of a kind.
Shirley leaves behind her husband Donald, Daughter Lynn, Son-in-Law Tim, Son Willie, Daughter-in-law Kristi, Grandchildren; Timmy, Tiffany, Taylor, Aidan, Chloe and dog Sadie. Shirley is also survived by siblings; Toni, Katie, Raymond, Steven, David, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly Loved. Shirley goes to rest with loved ones, Mother Leota, Father Burl, and siblings Frankie, Gene, John and Dorothy as well as dogs FiFi, Spooky, Star, Tasha, Macy and Sacs.
