Born January 22, 1931, in Clarksburg, California, Sue lived a life defined by resilience, devotion, and love. As a young child, she and her family were interned during World War II, an experience that shaped her strength, compassion, and deep appreciation for perseverance and family.
Sue was married to her beloved husband, Harry Saito, for 74 years. Together they built a life centered on commitment, care, and deep family bonds. A devoted homemaker, Sue was a wonderful cook whose meals brought comfort, joy, and togetherness to all who gathered around her table.
Though small in stature, Sue was truly small but mighty. She cared deeply for her family and taught her children and grandchildren the importance of resilience, kindness, and loving deeply through all of life’s challenges. She also found great joy in her trips to the casino, where she loved playing the slot machines and embraced the fun and excitement of the moment—always with her signature quiet determination.
Sue is survived by her husband, Harry Saito; her son, Dean; and her daughters, Sharon and Caroline. She was a beloved mother and nana, and her legacy lives on through the family she cherished so dearly.
