Wallace Eugene Below

It is in great sadness that the family of Wallace Eugene Below is announcing his passing at the age of 83 years. Known by friends and family as “Wally”, was born January 4, 1935 and went to be with the Lord October 4th, 2018 to join his loving wife (Jackie) whom he was married to for 52 years.

Wally, son of (Effel Brown and Elasia Givens Below) and the youngest of 13 children whom all proceeded him in death. He still resided in his home in Rancho Cordova, California where he spent the last 44 years with his family and friends.

Wally, was born in Boxville, Kentucky and migrated to California in his mid-20’s. He is the loving father of four children: Monte Bremen Below of Reno, Nevada; Denise Marie Calloway of Springfield, OR; Elena Josephina Maria Rauch (Nick) of Fair Oaks, CA and Anna Marie Yogan (Darrin) of Seattle, WA.

As a High School Senior, Wally won the vote of his peers as the quietest individual, however, upon early arrival to California, you would find him following his passion, guitar in hand, singing Country music in front of large audiences. His children loved to listen to him sing and play his guitar throughout their childhood. Wally enjoyed stories and memories that reminded him of his upbringing including old western movies. He was dedicated and hardworking family man. He shared many fond memories with his family and friends from Beach camping, Road trips and Disneyland. In his later years, he continued to enjoy cross country road trips that also included his grandchildren and his dogs.

Wally leaves behind his loving family including his children and 6 grandchildren: Jenna Marie Calloway, Caitlyn Ann Calloway, Siera Marie Harris, Tyler Ray Harris, Carson Eugene Yogan and Emma Ann Yogan. In addition, two great granddaughters: Sophia Marie Harris and Isabella Rae Ross and several cherished nieces & nephews, and many close friends who are like family.

Funeral services for Wally Below, will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday October 20th at Mount Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks CA. The family will greet friends and relatives following the services at 8200 Ashcrest Lane, Fair Oaks, CA.
