

Asencion "Chon" Saucedo passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at his residence in Realitos, Texas at the age of 64. He was born on November 8, 1950 to Pedro Saucedo and Cleotilde Castillo Saucedo in Laredo, Texas. Asencion proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Sgt for four years until he was honorably discharged in 1973. He later became a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Javier Garcia, Sr. and step- grandsons, Javier Garcia, Jr. and Orlando Pedro Garcia. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his wife, Josefina Z. Saucedo of Realitos; daughters, Vanessa (Victor) Saucedo Rivera of Alice, Texas and Mairssa Mia (Eduardo Morales) Saucedo of Alice; step-son Orlando (Stephanie) Garcia of Ben Bolt, Texas; step-daughters, Pricilla (Freddy) Garcia and Venessa Garcia both of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Pedro (Virginia) Saucedo, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Jorge (Judith) Saucedo of San Antonio, Texas, Cristobal (Selina) Saucedo of San Antonio, Jose (Eneida) Saucedo of Harker Heights, Texas and Luis (Patricia) Saucedo of Colorado; sisters, Evelina Saucedo of Laredo, Texas, Sagario (Ron) Saucedo of Colorado, Angela Spillers of Freer, Texas, Marina (Marvin) Hensley of Freer and Maria Del Carmen Saucedo of Hebbronville, Texas; the mother of his daughters, Maria Alma Acevedo; grandson, Jacob Dylan Morales; step-grandchildren, Brandon Canales, Johnathon Canales, Alina Garcia, Freddy Garcia, Jr., Christian Garcia, Ethan Garcia and Ava Rosa Garcia and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Pedro Saucedo, Jr., Eduardo Saucedo, Marco Saucedo, Tomas Molina, III, Omar Molina and Carlos Gallardo, III.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Luis Saucedo, Jr., Albert Saucedo, Edward Saucedo, Peter Saucedo, Alfonso Garcia and Freddy Garcia.
Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with visitation to begin at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the Saucedo Family Cemetery in Duval County.
