Atanacio "Eddie" Garcia

Atanacio “Eddie” Garcia, 44, was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by our Lord, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on May 24, 1969 to Jose Leopoldo Garcia, Jr. and Bertha Ramirez Garcia in Brooks County, Texas. Eddie currently worked as a Laborer for R&R Fencing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and will always be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends.

Eddie was embraced in Heaven by the loving arms of his maternal grandparents who raised him, Ramon and Margarita Ramirez; his toddler son, A.J. Garcia and his infant daughter, Bertha Idalia Garcia.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Velma H. Garcia; son, Joey Garcia; daughter, Lizette Jeanelle Garcia; step children, Nakita (Marcos) Tijerina and Rene Vela, Jr.; three grandchildren, Sergio, Diego and Sofia Tijerina; brothers, Michael Garcia, Jose Maria Garcia and Geraldo (Natalie) Garcia; sister, Irene (Alejandro) Hernandez; paternal grandfather, Jose Leopoldo Garcia, Sr. all of Falfurrias, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joey Garcia, Rene Vela, Jr., Danny Loredo, Marcos Tijerina, Pete Cantu and Rudy Lara.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with a visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Interment will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
