Aurora Trevino entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 79. She was a twin daughter born on April 18, 1942 to Julian Trevino, Sr. and Emeteria Garza Trevino in Premont, Texas. Aurora was a caregiver for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for many years. She loved spending as much time as she could with them and her nieces and nephews.
Aurora’s house was the place everyone knew as “home”. It was the gathering location where all the family would meet up and socialize. Anytime she knew someone was coming to visit, she had a meal in the making. Gardening and tending to her plants was a pastime she enjoyed and loving on her dog, Chico, while sitting on her front porch.
Aurora was reunited in Heaven with her parents; daughter, Velma Sosa Gonzalez; four sisters, Alicia Trevino Contreras (twin), Mauricia Ramirez, Lucia “Lucy” Lopez and Tomasita “Tome” Garza; brothers, Robert Trevino and Julian Trevino, Jr.; nephew, J.D. Trevino and son-in-law, Johnny Johnson.
She leaves behind to continue her legacy her two sons, Rolando Sosa, Sr. of Harlingen, Texas and Omar Sosa of Premont; two daughters, Amanda “Mandy” Johnson of Premont and Yolanda Sosa (Roger Dean) Moran of Alice; brothers, David (Ofilia) Trevino of Premont, Frank (Blanca) Trevino of McAllen, Texas, Gilbert (Terri) Trevino of Premont and Joe (Estella) Bueno of Rockport, Texas; son-in-law, Hector Gonzalez of Alice; nine grandchildren, Marcos Johnson, Roque Johnson, Krissy Ellen Hill, Rolando Sosa, Jr., Jennifer Sosa, Hector Gonzalez, II, Alejandro Gonzalez, Yvette Garcia and Yvonne Garcia; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and her loving dog, Chico.
A Rosary for will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday , September 4, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Cemetery Service will follow at the Premont Cemetery.
Burial of Urn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Premont Cemetery officiated by Deacon Ramiro Davila.
