She was a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilberto Guerra Sr., daughter Nellina G. Ruiz, brother Abel and Adan Montalvo, sisters Beatrice Perez, Lydia Garcia, Lorenza Ramirez, Sofia Gonzalez, Celina Flores and Cesarea Montalvo. Carolina is survived by her son Gilberto (Barbara) Guerra Jr. of Hebbronville, son in law Raul Ruiz of Hebbronville, 5 grandchildren Marissa Anelle Ruiz, Raul David Ruiz, Velma Guerra Dunne, Celinda Guerra (Dr. Ross Thormahlen) and Lyda Guerra, 2 great grandsons Matthew Guerra Thormahlen and Michael Guerra Thormahlen, several nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raul David Ruiz, Beto Avila, Roldan Montalvo, Dr. Ross Thormahlen, Ernesto Gutierrez and Eduardo "Eddie" Garcia.
