Consuelo C. Garza, 89, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas. Consuelo was born on August 23, 1924 to Vidal Canales and Evangelina Guerra Canales in Cd. Mier, Tamaulipas. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.Consuelo is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rene R. Garza; her son, Rene A. Garza, Jr.;her sister, Elia C. Kernz and her great great grandson, Joey Ramos, III.
She is survived by her daughters, Carmen A. (Medardo) Perez ofHelotes, Texasand Laura (Hector) Perez Encino, Texas; adaughter-in-law, Yolanda S. Garza and sons, Hector R. (Cindy) Garza and Dante V. Garza all from Falfurrias, Texas. She has 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grand children and eight great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 with a Rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
Interment will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
