Consuelo A. Guerra

Consuelo A. Guerra, 93, entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her residence in Rialitos, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1921 to Lucas Alaniz and Paula Robledo Alaniz in La Sejita, Texas. Consuelo was a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olivido Guerra; children, Noe Guerra, Paula Guerra and Olivido Guerra, Jr.; brothers, Trino Alaniz, Pablo Alaniz, Emilio Alaniz and Christopher Alaniz; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Alonzo (Odalia) Guerra of San Diego, Texas, Jesus (Sandy) Guerra of Kingsville, Texas and Abundio (Janie) Guerra of Realitos; daughters, Isidra Arredondo of Hebbronville, Texaas, Isabel (Jose Maria) Flores of Benavides, Texas, Aurora La Fuente of Benavides, Carmela (Jose) Cantu of Realitos and Celia (Guadalupe) Jaimez of Realitos; brothers, Ramiro Alaniz of Lubbock, Texas and Benny Alaniz of Beeville, Texas; sisters, Francisca Gonzalez of Rios, Texas, Beatrice Rios of Rios and Comta Valdez of California; 32 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Jaimez, Jr., Alejos Olivido Jaimez, Jesus Emilio Guerra, Paulino Guerra, Lucas Guerra and Mario Alberto La Fuente.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Fernando La Fuente, Jr., Jose Luis Cantu, David Orlando Flores and Jose Ernesto Flores.

Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the Guerra Cemetery in Realitos.
