My sincere condolences to her loved ones.  Mrs. Hinojosa was not only my second grade teacher and neighbor, but also a person whom I admired very much.  I had the previlege to tell her so some years ago when I stopped by her house to chat with her.  I especially admired her energetic way of being and I told her the last time I spoke to her that I hoped that when I got to be older I could be as energetic and hardworking as she was.  She smiled and said "thanks but you know Leonor, I'm getting older and I am not as strong as I used to be."  Mrs. Hinojosa may you rest in peace and thanks for being my teacher and friend.

I knew you better as a child than I do as an adult. That's because you visited your sister (Socorro) often and being that we were neighbors I'd be over playing with Belinda & Clodine. May you Rest in Peasce.

I will never forget your fun sense of humor, especially the one about how you were going to send "them" (Fina gas stations) a letter thanking them for naming their business after you.  That was a GOOD one!  Who is going to continue to lay the flowers and pray sweet remembrances at the gravesites of our beloved ancestors like you always did on All Soul's Day?  You will be greatly missed dear Auntie!  Lagrimas y besos!

I often thanked you and told you what a wonderful loving and caring person you were. I remember all the times you called me to check on my brother Jaime when he was sick in the hospital. You always told me how much you loved him but even if you hadn't I already knew because of the concern you had for him. Not only were you his teacher, you both were good friends as was Nora. Thank you for loving them both. And THANK YOU for the biggest thing you did for me. I attend your rosary and then went to Mom's house afterwards. I got to see My Brother Sonny alive and got to tell him how much I Loved him and a few hours after that he had joined you. And our poor Nora not only found you dead on Monday but was there when my brother Sonny passed away on Friday. Ask God to watch over her and help her through this and my Mother too. I won't ask for us because I know what Mrs. H is already doing. Thank you for being you Fina! I Love You and I Miss You! Hug my baby brother!

My dear Aunt Fina who called me "her riena"(my queen).  It is you who is queen...A queen in Heaven. May you be in peace next to the lord.

I would very much liked to have met Mamo, but the special lady she was shows through in those who knew her better than I, the memories, and stories passed on. All my love and sympathy.

This passing has struck a chord that saddens me very deeply.  I think about summers as a little girl visiting my beautiful Tia and primos in Hebbronville. I will never forget the love you shared with your husband Marcelo.  I always thought that I should be so lucky as to find the same kind of love of my life. I know that you are now eternally happy, holding hands with him in heaven before God. I loved you dearly and thought of you often and feel a great loss.  You will be missed. God Bless you.

To a beautiful lady whom I was proud to be her cousin.  May God receive into heaven with open arms, but we will shed a few tears in your absence.

I will never forget her dry humor, her wonderful eye for style, and having spent my 1st year out of college with her back in 1974!  She was loads of fun.  I loved her and will miss her.  My deepest sympathy to her family and friends who held her dear.
