Epifanio G. Acevedo Jr.

Epifanio G. Acevedo, Jr. passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 87. He was born on March 11, 1929 to Epifanio Acevedo, Sr. and Filomena Garcia in Hebbronville, Texas. He was a Rancher for his entire life. Epifanio is preceded in death by his father, Epifanio Acevedo, Sr.; his mother, Filomena Garcia Martinez; wife, Clodin Cavazos Acevedo; son, Edward Acevedo and grandson, Ramon Acevedo.

He is survived by his five sons, Epifanio (Cathi) Acevedo, III of Washington, George (Beatrice) Acevedo of Hebbronville, Benny (Patricia) Acevedo of Rosenberg, Texas, Joe ( Stella) Acevedo of Arizona and Daniel (Letty) Acevedo Rio Grande City, Texas; four daughter, Lorenza Cavazos of Annaville, Texas, Janie (Frank) Cantu of New Mexico, Esther (Enrique) Enriquez or Oregon and Sarah Acevedo of Oregon; sister, Soraya Cortinas of Hebbronville; 33 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
