Fidela was an educator before her retirement. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Texas A & I University. She served as a Special Education Teacher and Educational Diagnostician for over 30 years.
Fidela is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olivero Garza and siblings, Gilma Garza and Luis Garza Jr.
She leaves behind many precious memories that will forever be treasured by her daughters, Selma (Jessie) Jones of Beeville, Zelda “Zorina” Martinez of Odem, Texas, and Zonia (Jessie, Jr.) Rodriguez of Beeville; sisters, Graciela (Cruz) Martinez of Falfurrias, Texas, Gloria (Jessie) Rodriguez of Killeen, Texas, and Diana (Arturo) Carreon of Hebbronville; grandchildren, Jessie (Shane) Rodriguez III, Christian Olivero Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Benjamin (Katherine) Martinez, and Liza (Carlos Aguirre) Torres; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Benjamin, Juan David, and Carlos Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

We gather to celebrate Fidela’s life on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville. Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.We gather to celebrate Fidela’s life on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville.
