Gilberto "El Pato" Pena entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at a nursing home in Alice, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born to Noe Pena and Concepcion Solis on April 18, 1951 in Falfurrias, Texas.
Gilberto is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Pena; and siblings, Elva Garcia, Gonzalo Pena, Oralia Pena, and Noe Pena Jr.
Gilberto is survived by his daughters, Belinda Gonzalez of Falfurrias, Nancy Pena, and Cassandra Pena both of Converse, Texas; brother, Israel Pena of Edinburg, Texas; sisters Olga Longoria of Hebbronville, Texas, and Delma Garza of Falfurrias; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
