Hortencia G. Contreras entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Laredo Medical Hospital. She was born in August 6, 1915 to Willie and Trinidad Gonzales in La Florida Ranch near Hebbronville, Texas. Hortencia was a housewife and Nanny to two children for 24 years. She was welcomed in the gates of Heaven by her parents; her husband, Felipe Contreras and her son, Felipe Contreras, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Angie L. Martinez (Joe Martinez), Rosie Worley (Thomas Worley) and son, Joel J. Contreras. She had 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Appreciation is expressed to Meridian Care of Hebbronville, Dr. Jose Gutierrez, Nurses on Wheels, John and Jeanne McDowell, Angelmira Huerta, Leticia and Javier Carrizales, Andrea Gonzalezz, Elsa Jaime and Minerva Pavela.
Rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with burial to follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
