Isaac Jesus Salinas

Isaac Jesus Salinas, 19, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. Born on May 13, 1998 to Carlos and Yvonne Villarreal Salinas, he became the cherished center of a tight-knit and loving family, always surrounded by close friends and devoted relatives. He grew up happily in Premont, Texas and served there faithfully as an altar server at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Isaac was an active member of Premont Cactus 4-H where he served as an officer at both club and county level. He graduated from Santa Gertrudis Academy in Kingsville, Texas in 2016 and shortly after attended Texas Tech University.

He loved being around people, but also loved the quiet solitude of being at the ranch with his family or fishing by the bay. He was a brilliant light that brightened the world and will always hold a place in our hearts. His life touched so many others and he will never be forgotten.

Isaac was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Severo Salinas, Jr. and his maternal grandfather, Jesus Villarreal, Jr.

He is survived by his parents Carlos and Bonnie Salinas of Premont; paternal grandmother, Santos Deorica Salinas; maternal grandparents, Alicia Villarreal and Ramon DeLeon, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Premont with interment following at Premont Cemetery.
