JoDaniel "JoJo" Benavidez

JoDaniel Benavidez entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 17. He was born on May 8, 2001 to Manuel Gabriel Benavidez, Sr. and Sara Lee Basaldua Cavazos in Alice, Texas. He was a very sweet young man who loved his family very much.

JoDaniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel T. Benavidez, III; maternal grandmother, Esmeralda Sotelo Basaldua; paternal great-grandparents, Alfredo Vasquez Navarro and Guadalupe Guzman Navarro; maternal great-grandmother, Rosa Sotelo and cousin, Osvaldo Eric Saavedra, Jr.

He is survived by his father, Manuel Gabriel (Anita Rosas) Benavidez, Sr. of Falfurrias; mother, Sara Lee (Daniel) Cavazos of Falfurrias; brothers, Gabriel Lee (Angel) Benavidez, Ayden D. Cavazos, Manuel Gabriel Benavidez, Jr., Damian Angel Benavidez, Milan Sebastian Benavidez and Jayceon Julius Benavidez all of Falfurrias; sisters, Brianna Yvonne (Corbin) Solomon, Mia Esmeralda Garcia, Laryssa Ann Cavazos and Nayelli Jolin Benavidez all of Falfurrias; one sibling on the way; paternal grandmother, Nori (Fred) Navarro of Falfurrias; maternal grandfather, Miguel Angel (Margarita) Basaldua of Falfurrias; his only niece, Skarlett Rose Benavidez of Falfurrias and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
