Joel M. "Buddy" Cruz

Joel M. “Buddy” Cruz, 51, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at a hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 26, 1960 to Jesus M. Cruz, Sr. and Idolina Arredondo Costley in Falfurrias, TX. He was a painter. Joel is preceded in death by his step-father, Jose L. Costley, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Eva Dominguez and nephew, Jaime Cruz. He is survived by his mother, Idolina A. Costley of Falfurrias, Texas; father, Jesus M. Cruz, Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Jesus M. (Linda) Cruz, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Jose L. (Mary Lou) Costley, III of Beeville, Texas; sisters, Jodie Costley of Ruston, LA and Norma (Alvaro) Barbosa of Victoria, Texas and 14 nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, TX with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, TX.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
