

Jose G. “Pache” Garcia, 77, passed away on Sunday March 7, 2010 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. Mr. Garcia was born on January 24, 1933 to Jose Garcia and Apolonia Benavides Garcia in Encino, TX. Pache, as his friends knew him, served our country in the United States Army as a Corporal and later he worked for about 15 years at H.E.B. Mr. Garcia then joined the political field and became a Brooks County Commissioner for Precinct #3 and served for about 30 years until his retirement. Jose “Pache” Garcia was married to his loving wife Aurora Escalante Garcia for 53 amazing years. Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Rodolfo Garza, sister Luisa Ruelas and brother Leonel B. Garcia. He is survived by his wife Aurora E. Garcia of Encino, TX, son Jose R. (Debra) Garcia of Falfurrias, TX, daughter Sylvia Garza of Encino, TX, brother Guadalupe Garcia of Encino, TX, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pache was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, TX.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday March 11, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Encino, TX.
Interment will follow at the Benavides Family Cemetery in Encino, TX.
