Juana P Lopez

Juana Pena Lopez peacefully passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Palms Nursing Home in Corpus Christi, Texas at the blessed age of 93. She was born on July 10, 1924 to Domingo Pena and Sebastiana Paderes Pena in San Jerónimo Purenchécuaro, Michoacán, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Miguel M. Lopez in 1950 and they raised three sons in Falfurrias, Texas where Juana stayed home to be housewife and homemaker.

Juana was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; her husband and her sister, Flora Pena Paredes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her three children, Fernando (Phyllis) Lopez of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Jose Antonio “Tony” (Melinda) Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Artemio (Marlena) Lopez of Mooresville, North Carolina; two brothers, Armando Pena of California and Trinidad Pena of Mexico; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with burial to follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
