Julia Kathryn Fox Huff was born in Corpus Christi on August 27, 1946. She grew up in Rockport and had many fond memories of fun times with family and friends, as well as riding her horse Maggie on the beach. She loved her little coastal town. Julia met Chris at a dance in Corpus Christi and they got married on May 24, 1968. It was a blessed marriage lasting for 52 years. They had two children, John and Susan. After living in Kingsville and Rio Grande City, they settled in Hebbronville.
Julia had so many friends all over South Texas. She was a giver and had a servant’s heart. She always showed up and attended every baby shower, wedding, and funeral. Ordering food and flowers for her friends was a daily occurrence for Julia as she always wanted to show her love.
For the last 18 years, Julia was known as Judge Huff. She proudly served as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 in Jim Hogg County. It was a position she was honored to hold, as she was elected to serve others.
Julia is survived by her husband Chris Huff, her children John Huff of Three Rivers and Susan Huff Douglas (Richard) of Hebbronville, and her six grandchildren Christopher Douglas (Katy), Camille Douglas, Kailey Huff, Sean Huff, Courtney Huff, and Cate Douglas.
