Leonel T. Garza Sr.

Leonel T. Garza, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 15, 2014 at a hospital in Mission, Texas at the age of 83. He was born on February 5, 1931 to Nicholas Lopez Garza and Maria Reyes Telles in Falfurrias, Texas. Leonel was a Truck Driver for over 30 years and then worked as a Tow Truck Operator for his self-owned business, L & J’s Wrecker Service, for over 21 years until his retirement. He will always be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a great father and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved flowers and plants. Leonel was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; his two sons, Michael Anthony Garza and Leonel Garza, Jr. and all his siblings. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Josefina F. Garza of Falfurrias; six sons, Lionel (Rebecca) Garza, Lorenzo Garza, Jose Luis Garza, Samuel (Christina Gonzalez) Garza, Alberto Garza and Rodolfo Rene Garza all of Falfurrias; six daughters, Novela (Rodrigo) Arriaga of Kingsville, Texas Maribelle Garza of Pharr, Texas, Maria Reyes Garza of Kingsville and Angelica Maria Garza, Viola Garcia and Lisa (Humberto) Cruz all of Falfurrias; two step-sons, Fidel and Armando Enfante both of Washington; two step-daughters, Lolita Garza and Rose Mary (Virgil) Morrow both of Kingsville; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Garza Residence at 2722 County Road 301 (Ranchito Road) with visitation to beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias with procession leaving from the family residence. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
