Leonel B. Longoria

Leonel B. Longoria entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Portland, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on July 24, 1946 to Rafael Longoria and Enriqueta Barrera Longoria in Falfurrias, Texas. Leo was a Falfurrias High School graduate of the class of 1966. He then proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Leo retired from American International Group, Inc. after many years of employment and was currently employed by SPJST as an Insurance Agent. Leo was known for being dedicated to his family and his job. He was so proud to be a father and grandfather to his grandchildren. Family was everything to him and he would do anything for them or anyone who needed help. He liked the Dallas Cowboys and was captivated by John F. Kennedy. Leo also loved animals, especially cats, dogs and birds. Leo was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; two brothers, Eleazar and Rafael Longoria and two sisters, Maria Raquel Longoria and Lidia Longoria Rivera. He leaves behind to cherish his memories son, Rafael Longoria of Falfurrias; daughter, Rachel Longoria (Marvin) Barker of Ingleside, Texas; brother, Oscar Longoria of Falfurrias; sister, Janie Longoria of Falfurrias; 3 grandchildren, Joseph Guevara of Houston, Texas, Brianna Longoria and Ethan Lee Tullos Chapa both of San Antonio, Texas and the mother of his children, Rafaela Lopez of Falfurrias.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial with military honors will follow at Falfurrias Burial Park.
