
Leticia “Letty” Garcia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 22, 1966, to Eligio Montalvo, Sr. and Herminia Gonzales Montalvo in Falfurrias, Letty filled the lives of those around her with love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable memories for 60 beautiful years.
Letty devoted more than 32 years of dedicated service as the Manager at Security Finance in Falfurrias, where she became more than a familiar face to the community, she became a trusted friend to many. Her kindness, warm smile, and caring heart touched countless lives throughout the local and surrounding areas.
A woman of elegance and grace, Letty had a love for fashion and always carried herself with beauty and confidence. She found joy in cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys, spending precious time with family and friends, crafting with creativity and passion, and taking on DIY and carpentry projects with remarkable talent and determination. She was never afraid of hard work and approached life with strength, resilience, and heart. Letty also enjoyed horseback riding and participating in local trail rides, a passion she deeply treasured.
Above all, Letty’s greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought encouragement, and her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brothers, Orlando Montalvo and Eligio Montalvo, Jr.
She leaves behind countless cherished memories with her beloved husband, Romeo Garcia; her son, Benito Gonzalez IV; and her daughter, Meghan (Bert Matthew Arevalo) Garcia, all of Falfurrias. She is also survived by her stepsons, Romeo (Arlene) Garcia, Jr. of Falfurrias, Rocky (Crystal) Garcia of Riviera, Texas, and Christopher Lee Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; her 10 grandchildren, Josiah Perez, Charlotte Arevalo, Wyatt Arevalo, Zoey Garcia, Ava Garcia, Rocco Romeo Garcia, Duke Garcia, Ashlynn Garcia, Christopher Lee Garcia, Jr., and Kori Garcia; her nieces, Aubrey Montalvo and Elissa (Jacob) Ochs; her nephews, Aaron Molina and Eligio Montalvo III; sister-in-law, Annette Salinas-Montalvo; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Noel Garza, Mauricio Villarreal, Eligio Montalvo III, Aaron Molina, Duke Garcia, and Josiah Perez.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
