Manuela M. Perez age 79, of Falfurrias passed away August 10, 2021. She was born on December 11, 1941 to Genovevo Martinez and Guadalupe Benavidez Martinez in the house of her grandparents in Falfurrias Texas. She adopted the hardworking lifestyle right away with working in the migrant fields across the country. She graduated with her GED from Del Mar College in 1978 while raising her 3 children. This was one of her proudest moments. She is most known for her time as an H-E-B clerk and cashier where she worked for over 19 years. Despite having to retire early due to a disability, she finally had the time to enjoy her moments with her whole family. Her pride and joy was her family. She loved music with all her heart.
She was an avid lover of all sports. She loved her Falfurrias Jersey baseball games and she was the biggest Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astro’s fan. One of her favorite hobby’s was to play Loteria bingo, and go to Pawn shops in every city she visited. She was a follower of Christ and received his word every Sunday even when she was immobile.
She is preceded in death by her parents Genovevo Martinez and Guadalupe Benavidez Martinez. Her brother Genovevo Jr. Martinez, and her Son Ramiro Perez II.
She is survived by her siblings; Jesusa Mireles (Emede+) of Houston, Noela Martinez of Falfurrias, Evanglia Grigsby (Johny+)of Tennessee , Jose Alberto Martinez (Adela). Her two daughters Nelda Soliz (Benny) of Falfurrias and Enedina Perez of Falfurrias and her daughter in law Kandie Perez of Rio Grande. Lastly, her 10 grandchildren and 18 great children.
Pallbearers will be Justin Carbajal, Jacob Soliz, Vincent Hall, Ramiro Perez III, Ramiro Soliz, and Sergio Soliz
A visitation for MANUELA will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 starting at 7:15 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams, with rosary at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and conclude with burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
