Mr. Marcos Benny Bazan Benavides

Marcos Benavides, 60, passed away Sunday January 24, 2010 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas. He was born on June 18, 1949 to Rev. Eusebio Benavides and Aurora Bazan Benavides in Falfurrias, TX. In his earlier years, Marcos served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician and later became a Master Sergeant. He then retired after serving many years as a recruiter and was currently employed by Texas A&M University in Kingsville as Asst. Director Camp Coordinator for TAMUK’s Special Programs. Marcos was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jacinto Benavides.

He is survived by his loving wife Alicia Torres Benavides of Falfurrias, TX, son Marcos Jacinto (Elizabeth Ashley) Benavides of Falfurrias, TX, daughter Crystal Lynn (Javier Adrian) Anguiano of San Antonio, TX, Brother Homer (Lucky) Benavides of Falfurrias, TX, five sisters, Lydia B. Arredondo of La Copita, TX, Evangelina B. Zarate, Rev. Esmeralda B. (Daniel) Rodriguez, Amanda B. (Alfredo) Garza and Criselda B. (Corry) Escalante all of Falfurrias, TX. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Autumn Ileane Anguiano of San Antonio and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Prayer Service will be recited by Rev. Don Villarreal at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 26, 2010 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams. Interment will follow at the Benavides Family Cemetery in La Copita, TX.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Enrique B. Johnson, Isaac Benavides, Abraham Benavides, Claudio Arredondo, Javier Aleman and Joe Cruz.
