Maria V. Hinojosa

Maria V. Hinojosa entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 91. Maria was born on August 30, 1924 to Jose Guadalupe Valdez and Cleotilde de los Santos Valdez in Los Ojuelos, Texas. She was an outstanding housewife who was known for her cooking and baking. She spent her spare time knitting and sewing for her family and the community. Her grandchildren, whom she raised since they were toddlers, were her pride and joy and she loved to spoil them with love and affection.

Maria was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord; her parents; her husband, Homero Jose Hinojosa, Sr.; her only child, Homero J. Hinojosa, Jr.; granddaughter, Elma Ann Hinojosa and nine siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her four grandchildren, Barbie A. Hinojosa of Kingsville, Texas, Debbie A. Lopez of Corpus Christi, Homer Hinojosa, III and Christopher Joseph Hinojosa both of Edinburg, Texas; sister, Elma V. Corona of Corpus; 10 great-grandchildren, Kristina, John, Danielle, Daniel, Sean, Victoria, C.J., Joseph, Kayleigh and Christian; three great-great grandchildren, Aiden, Athena and Artemis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
