Maria Noela Villarreal

Maria Noela Villarreal, 87, of Falfurrias, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her family’s home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Falfurrias on November 26, 1928 to Miguel T. Villarreal and Maria Pineda Villarreal. Noela worked for BCISD as a third grade teacher for over 35 years until her retirement and also partook in volunteer work for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She was a great and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a wonderful sister to her siblings. She will be dearly missed.

Maria Noela is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Noel M. Villarreal and sister, Norma A. Villarreal.

She is survived by two brothers, Ysidro (Sarah) Villarreal and Oscar (Theresa) Villarreal both of San Antonio, Texas; two nephews, Miguel David (Amy S.) Villarreal of Austin, Texas and Adrian Scott (Tiffany) Romo of Dallas, Texas; two nieces Norma Ann Villarreal Brooks of San Antonio and Ann Marie (Bryan) Allison of Austin and eight great nieces and nephews, Dalton, Cody, Jake, Sage, Bodhi, Weston, Laren and David.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the New Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
