Mario L. Villarreal entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his residence in Encino, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on September 15, 1946 to Jacobo Villarreal and Elvira Leal Villarreal in Falfurrias, Texas. He was a Farmer and Rancher his entire life and gave great advice, when needed. He knew when to be serious and when he could show his humorous side. He loved hunting, fishing, barbequing, tending to his planted crops and being with his cattle.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jose Hermilo Villarreal and Merardo Villarreal and sisters, Jovita Rodriguez and Elena Villarreal.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his two sons, Jacob (Laura) Villarreal of Kingsville, Texas and Gustavo Villarreal of Falfurrias; daughter, Thelma Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Isabel Juarez of San Isidro, Texas, Juanita Fitz of Corpus Christi and Ercilia Lopez of Mercedes, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Brian Villarreal, Natalie Villarreal, Jacob Villarreal, II, Carlos Villarreal, Amanda Villarreal, Anevay Ahmuty, Eran Ahmuty, Ethaniel Ahmuty, Ezekiel Ahmuty and Ian Ahmuty, Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Villarreal, Jose Hermilo Villarreal, Jr., Jose Hermilo Villarreal, III, Carlos Villarreal, Eddie Garcia and Timothy Thompson.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Encino with Visitation beginning at 8:45 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with Burial at the Villarreal Family Cemetery off CR 309 in Encino.
