Minerva Ruiz

Minerva Ruiz entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at a hospital in McAllen, Texas at the age of 55. She was born on August 23, 1964 to Amador Garza and Alma Gloria Pena Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. Minerva worked as a Dietician for the Falfurrias Nursing and Rehab Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rodolfo Rene Ruiz and sister, Celestina “Sally” Garza.

She leaves behind her three sons, Rudy (Veronica Falcon) Ruiz of Donna, Texas, Joey (Maribel) Ruiz of San Diego, Texas and David Lee Ruiz of Falfurrias; one daughter, Sylvia (Ramiro Gonzalez) Ruiz of Hebbronville, Texas; two brothers, Amador (Diana) Garza, Jr. of Falfurrias and Hilario (Gina) Garza of Portland, Texas; four sisters, Anna Maria Garza of Falfurrias, Isabel (Luis Reyes Corvera) Garza of Encino, Lydia (Gilbert Rivera, Jr.) Perez of Falfurrias and Maricella (Miguel Benavides) Garcia of Falfurrias; six grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
