Oscar R. Garza Sr.

Oscar R. Garza, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 76. He was born on September 1, 1941 to Ezequiel Garza and Juanita Longoria in General Trevino, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Oscar worked for many years as a laborer and maintenance man for different companies owned by Bob Bowen. Oscar loyally attended church as was strong in his faith. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports like football and baseball. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Oscar was welcomed into Heaven by his parents; his wife, Dalia Barrera Garza and his brother and sister-in-law, Israel and Endelia Garza.

He leaves behind to cherish all the memories made his three sons, Jorge Enrique Garza of Pflugerville, Texas, Oscar (Paula) Garza, Jr. of Sinton, Texas and Leroy Garza of Falfurrias; his daughter, Eldaena (Seddrick) Campbell of Falfurrias; four sisters, Ofelia Lopez, Consuelo Ruiz and Guadalupe Vela all of Falfurrias and Nora Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; girlfriend, Katalina Mirelez of Falfurrias; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Miguel Munoz, Justin Munoz, Israel Mireles, Joshua Castillo, Ryan Cantu, Roland Cantu and Jonas Garza.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
