Petra Martinez Trevino

Petra Martinez Trevino entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 14, 2017 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 77. She was born on August 3, 1939 to Jose Angel Martinez and Senovia Jesusa Narvaez Martinez in La Parita, Texas. Petra was a Manager for over 25 years at the Stop-N-Shop convenient store in Falfurrias, Texas. She then worked for a few years at the Saddle Horn store until her retirement. She was very proud of her lifetime accomplishments and how far she had come. She loved and was so proud of her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnoldo F. Trevino; two sons, Arnoldo “Turkey” Trevino, Jr and Juan Arnulfo Trevino; two brothers, Emilio Martinez and Jose “Pipo” Martinez and one sister, Flor Marina Moreno.

Petra is survived by her three sons, Arturo Arnulfo (Lucia) Trevino of Premont, Texas, Jose Francisco (Elma) Trevino of Portland, Texas and Robert Clyde (Delinah) Trevino of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Juanita Rosana Trevino of Kingsville, Texas and Rosavel (Ramon) Huerta of Encino, Texas; one brother, Benito Martinez of Banquete, Texas; two sisters, Isabel “Chavela” Sanchez and Severa “Connie” (Arturo) Garcia both of Falfurrias; step-daughter, Elia (Roel) De La Paz of Ricardo, Texas; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her 10 grandsons.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
