Ramiro G. Gonzalez, 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Hebbronville, Texas. He was born on September 27, 1940 to Jesus V. Gonzalez and Florencia Garcia Gonzalez in Crestonio, Texas. Ramiro worked as a self-contracted welder until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Benita M. Gonzalez, brother Roberto G. Gonzalez and sister Florencia G. Landa. He is survived by his sons Richard Lee (Maria) Stafford Jr. of Teague, TX and Ramiro E. (Iris) Gonzalez of Hebbronville, TX, daughters Tina Marie Avalos of San Antonio, TX, Maria Del Carmen (Frank) Rossi of Hebbronville, TX, Benita G. (Ray Salinas) Hinojosa of Hebbronville, TX and Hilma G. (Naser) Ziyad of Kingsville, TX, step-mother Rosa Gonzalez of Hebbronville, TX, brothers Ruben G. (Yolanda) Gonzalez, Rogerio G. (Kita) Gonzalez, Rene G. (Antonia) Gonzalez, Rodolfo G. (Charlotte) Gonzalez, Raul G. (Mine) Gonzalez, Jose Raymundo G. (Maria) Gonzalez, Jose Roel G. (Leticia) Gonzalez all of Hebbronville, TX, Rafael G. (Vicky) Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX, Juan (Mona) Melo and Bernandino Melo both of Hebbronville, TX, sisters Maria Imelda (Pedro) Reyes of Ricardo, TX, Jessica Aide (Mark) Follis of North Richmond Hills, TX and Deside (Daniel) Loya of McAllen, TX. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who will never forget him.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Rafael Alarcon, Ruben Gonzalez Jr., Rene Gonzalez Jr., Randy Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez and Jose Raymundo Gonzalez.
