She is preceded in death by her parents, Gonzalo Gonzalez and Olalla Hinojosa Gonzalez; husband, Oscar J. Mendieta; son, David J. Mendieta and siblings, Gonzalo Gonzalez, Jr., Gilberto Gonzalez and Rosa Garza.
Raquel leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by her daughter, Cordelia (Donnie) Estes of Oklahoma; son, Daniel (Maggie) Mendieta of Laredo, Texas; sister, Rebecca Reynolds of Alvin, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the St. Agnes Mission in Mirando City with Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. and services will conclude with Burial at the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City.
