Ricardo "Wino" Lamar Trevino

Ricardo “Wino” Lamar Trevino entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 3, 2017 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 51. Ricardo was born on April 11, 1966 to Jesus Maria Trevino and Carolina Longoria Trevino in Falfurrias, Texas. Ricardo was a 1985 Falfurrias High School graduate and a proud member of the Falfurrias Jersey Cross Country team while in school.

Ricardo worked for several years at the Formosa Refinery Plant in Port Lavaca, Texas and then later worked in the landscaping industry. He was currently working as a construction worker. Ricardo was a sports fanatic who loved the Dallas Cowboys and was an avid Falfurrias Jerseys fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved to sing and dance.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Maria Trevino and Carolina Longoria Trevino; six brothers, Robelin, Roel, Juan, Rodolfo, Ramiro and Hector Longoria; one sister, Adalberta Barrera; nephews, Rolando Longoria, Raudel Perez, Pedro “P.T.” Barrera Jr., Juan Jose Longoria, Alberto Longoria and niece Caroline “Carol” Longoria.

Ricardo is survived by his three brothers, Jesus Martin Trevino of Corpus Christi,

Oscar (Olga) Longoria of Alice, Texas and Gilbert (Janie) Longoria of Port Lavaca; four sisters, Herlinda Salinas of Corpus Christi, Janie (Ramiro) Barrera of Falfurrias; Emma Longoria of Corpus Christi and Marivel Perez of Falfurrias; sister-in-law, Olga P. Longoria of Falfurrias and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Paz Longoria, Marcos Salinas, Adan Hernandez, Carlos Barrera, Rene Longoria, Hector P. Longoria, Miguel Gonzalez and Jimmy Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers are Anna Salinas, Jose “JR” Longoria, Felipe Damian Hernandez, Hilario Garza, Joe Manuel Chapa, Alfredo Jesus Salinas and Richard Maldonado.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
