Roel “Skele” Sanchez entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 1, 2021 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 63. He was born on March 17, 1957 to Calixto Sanchez, Jr. and Olivia M. Sanchez in Falfurrias, Texas. Roel worked for over 10 years in the construction industry until his retirement in 2020. Roel loved to hunt and spend time with his family and friends barbequing. He also liked agriculture and was proud to have been a FFA member when in High School.

Roel was reunited in Heaven with his parents; brothers, Calixto Sanchez, III, Jose R. Sanchez and David M. Sanchez and many nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Tommy Joe Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Randy Lee Sanchez of Premont, Texas; daughter, Brenna (Hector Ramos) Sanchez of Corpus Christi; brothers, Roberto M. Sanchez and Guadalupe M. (Eudelia) both of Falfurrias; sister, Cynthia Sanchez of Falfurrias; five grandchildren, Leah De La Garza, Justin Ramos, Makenzie Ramos, Brooke Sanchez and Alexander Sanchez and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park. Due to current Covid restrictions, funeral home occupancy is 50 people maximum at this time.
