Romelia A. Vasquez

Romelia A. Vasquez, 75 passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at her residence. She was born on June 7, 1937 to Jose Alba and Eva Areta in Los Angeles, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Tomas and Concepcion Yniguez, sister Margaret A. Hernandez, brothers Luis A., Daniel (Beatriz) and Raymond Alba, nephew Billy Lopez.

She is survived by her husband Roberto R. Vasquez of Hebbronville, son Sigi (Mary) Huerta of Austin, sister Alicia Lopez of California, half-brother Ricardo Alba of Alaska, half-sister Evangelina Ponce of California, sisters in law Marina Vasquez of Hebbronville and Aminta V. Thurston of Del Rio, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Gilberto Ybanez, Joel Ybanez, Roel Garza, Sigi Huerta, Hector Ramirez, Ben Aguirre and Sigi Huerta Jr.
