Roy Cantu Jr., passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 surrounded by his family at his residence at the age of 69. He was born on August 25, 1950 in Hebbronville to Roy Cantu Sr. and Eva Garza Cantu.

He was a bus driver for Jim Hogg County ISD and Jim Hogg County Transportation Department.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lydia "Nellie" Escobar and grandson, Nicholas Ybarra

Roy leaves behind many precious memories that will be treasured by his wife, Cristela F. Cantu; son, Paul Cantu both of Hebbronville; daughter, Jo Anna Cortez Ibarra of Alice; brother, Benito (Christina) Cantu; sister, Martha Helen (Mark) Wied both of Hebbronville; grandchildren, Daniel Ybarra Jr., Amber (Patrick Zamora) Ybarra and Chloe Ybarra; great-grandchild Kolton Zamora

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church
