Sara Minerva Mine Ramirez Hoy

Sara Minerva Ramirez Hoy (Mine) passed away on May 22, 2010. She was born in Roma, Texas to Abraham Ramirez and Sara Zarate Ramirez. She was also a granddaughter of Don Lino &Dona Lucia Ramirez of San Antonio Viejo Ranch.She was a graduate of Hebbronville High School and Laredo Business College. She was employed at several local offices in Hebbronville prior to her marriage in 1949. She was also a Red Cross certified Home Health nurse. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and several other local clubs and organizations.

Awaiting her in Heaven are her parents Abraham Ramirez and Sara Zarate Ramirez, her husband Oran Doyle Hoy, her sisters Enriqueta R. Medellin, Rosa R. Anaya, Delfina R. Ramos- her brothers Armando Ramirez, Homero Ramirez; and several other brothers and sisters who died at a young age---and also sisters in laws & brother-in-laws whom she loved like her own siblings--and other family members who have all joined the family in Heaven.

She was cherished by her children-She is survived by her son, James Allen Hoy and her daughter, Geraldine (Amadeo) Saenz of Austin, Texas and her beloved grandchildren-David Saenz and Priscilla Saenz of McAllen, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Orlando(Leonor) Ramirez of Hebbronville. Other survivors are sister in laws, nieces and nephews whom she held very close in her heart.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Rest in peace with the angels and your beloved family in heaven until we all meet again

Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9am Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church

Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
