Sofia M. Arredondo

Sofia M. Arredondo entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 89. She was born on April 30, 1927 in Jim Hogg County, Texas to Jesus Molina and Lina Moya. She was a housewife. Sofia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Arredondo, Sr.; daughter, Angelina (Elva) Ruiz; sons, Andres Gonzalez and Victor (Guadalupe) Arredondo, Jr. and numerous brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful and precious memories her sons, Jesus "Chuy" (Oralia) Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas and Abelino (Melecia) Arredondo of Hebbronville,Texas; daughters, Elvia A. (Gilbert) Gonzalez and Elida Garza both of Hebbronville, Texas; 26 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Arredondo, Andres Gonzalez, Jr., Marcos Antonio Gonzalez, Gilbert Gonzalez, Jr., Luis David Gonzalez, Luis Daniel Gonzalez, Manuel Antonio Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez, Jr., Juan F. Ruiz, Jr., Javier Ruiz, Jesus Ruiz, Jesus David Garza, Joe Anthony Valderas and Victor Arredondo, III.

Holy rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams followed by a Funeral mass at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
